Ukraine must demine its ports to allow vessels to pass through: Lavrov
Published at : June 14, 2022
Russia has declared it is ready to release Ukrainian grain exports. But it has put the onus on Ukraine to solve the problem of resuming grain shipments by demining its ports. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has been holding talks with his Turkish counterpart on unblocking grain shipments. Mevlut Cavusoglu appeared to support lifting sanctions on Russia's exports in exchange. He called Moscow's demand "legitimate". Moscow has blockaded Ukraine's ports since the war began, preventing tonnes of grain from leaving.
