Minister Hurdoyal:PRB Report contains key measures to ensure the effectiveness of the public service

The PRB (Pay Research Bureau) Report 2021 contains key measures to ensure the effectiveness of the public service and makes provision for training among other recommendations said the Minister of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms, Mr Teeruthraj Hurdoyal, this afternoon, at SICOM II Building, in Port-Louis.

He was speaking at a ceremony during which he presented to presidents and representatives of Trade Unions and workers’ Federations with a copy of the PRB Report. Mr Hurdoyal emphasised that the PRB Report reflects the philosophy of the Government whereby special consideration is given to those at the lower rung of the ladder. He thus expressed the hope that it will be appreciated by public officers and Trade Unions.

According to him, it is a tradition to present the PRB Report to each Trade Union as soon as it is published and expressed satisfaction with the publication of the report despite the current difficult situation. The technical aspects of the Report have yet to be examined in-depth and the Government has put in a lot of effort to publish the document, he highlighted.
