The main leaders for brexit all told us that we would pay less as consumers, but the reality is we're paying more. And not just more because of the inflation affecting other countries, but on top of this. It's easy enough to understand. Businesses need to employ more people to fill in paperwork, they have to pay for more storage because of the delays in importing, and they have to pay more for transport. But recent research has also added data to the equation, in the form of comparing prices of identical goods around Europe.
