Joseph Smith III wrote letter's to his mother from Plano, Illinois, where he was editor of the Saint's Herald newspaper, as did Alexander and David Hyrum Smith; Emma Hale Smith Bidamon wrote letters to her son's stating how much she wanted and was planning to visit them in Plano, in 1866. For sure she went in 1874, per David Hyrum's letters, all my notes are on my website to see.
In other news, I got permission to include the duplicate oil painting of the original David Roger's forward facing painting, of Joseph Smith and the likeness in the eyes, tilt of the head, and eye-brows is remarkable.
