
Greg Hunt an 'outstanding health minister' as he is expected to retire

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has expressed his gratitude to Health Minister Greg Hunt, praising his “absolutely outstanding” pandemic management.
Mr Hunt is expected to announce his retirement at the end of his term as health minister and leave his seat of Flinders.
Mr Frydenberg said Mr Hunt was his “closest friend” in parliament and credited him with Australia’s response to the virus.
“The fact that Australia has one of the lowest mortality rates in the world and the fact that we have one of the highest vaccination rates in the world is in due to no small part to the incredible work that all health professionals have done across Australia,” he said.
“Greg as the health minister, during this once in a century pandemic has been absolutely outstanding.”
