Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh demanded that the US lift all sanctions imposed on Iran during a weekly press conference on Monday in Tehran, as well as assurance that it would not abandon a nuclear deal again if revived.

"As a party that has left the JCPOA and is not a member of the JCPOA, must first prove that it is committed to lifting sanctions, that it has the capacity, and that it will provide the necessary guarantees that in the future, international law, countries, and all agreements would not be ridiculed in this way," stated Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh, referring to former US President Trump's withdrawal of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

November 29 has been set as the date to restart talks in Vienna between Iran and world powers in hopes of saving the 2015 JCPOA after a five-month suspension.

"As long as the Islamic Republic of Iran is not certain that the unilateral, extraterritorial and illegal US sanctions will be lifted in a unified, effective, verifiable manner and with the necessary guarantees, objective guarantees, it will not suspend its retaliatory measures," Khatibzadeh went on to say.

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): "The United States, as the culprit in the current situation, as a party that has left the JCPOA and is not a member of the JCPOA, must first prove that it is committed to lifting sanctions, that it has the capacity, and that it will provide the necessary guarantees that in the future, international law, countries, and all agreements will not be ridiculed in this way."

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): "The path of the United States to return to JCPOA is clear. First, it must admit that, as the culprit of the current situation, it should return from the path it has taken. To return from this wrong path, it must effectively remove all the oppressive and illegal sanctions imposed after the withdrawal of the US from the JCPOA. And more importantly, it should ensure that no government in the United States mocks the world and the international law again and does not repeat these conditions."

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): "As long as the Islamic Republic of Iran is not certain that the unilateral, extraterritorial and illegal US sanctions will be lifted in a unified, effective, verifiable manner and with the necessary guarantees, objective guarantees, it will not suspend its retaliatory measures."

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): "What we are focusing on right now is the inaction of Europe, the embarrassing accompanying of some countries with US sanctions, and the lifting of US sanctions. Of course, I think we should allow all of us to focus on a calm atmosphere, God willing, on giving the United States another chance to show that it can be a responsible member of the international law."

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): "The United States is not a member of JCPOA, and the returning path for the United States, as a non-JCPOA member, first passes through the assurance of Iran and the P4+1 in lifting these sanctions. Of course, until that day, the United States cannot be present in the JCPOA Joint Commission. Negotiations will begin on the announced date. The negotiating team will be led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the participation of the senior negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Bagheri, in accordance with what has been done before. A mix of institutions and bodies responsible for the various sectors involved in lifting sanctions will be present."

SOT, Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Farsi): "Everyone must respect the rule of law in Iraq. If the United States removes the source of insecurity from Iraq as soon as possible, the Iraqi people and the Iraqi government are able to maintain the security of their country."
