Hotel Review - Maples Motel, Sandusky OH

If you've visited Cedar Point, you may have run into the same issue as me. Most of the hotels in the area are expensive, and most of them also aren't very good. That's why I decided to take a chance on this small independent motel on the outskirts of town. Motels like this one were very common across America, but it's fairly rare to see one still operational and in reasonable condition. The owner lives in a house onsite--you check in on his sun porch. The rooms are pretty much original and, while a little run down, are clean and a fun throwback. Between the exceptionally nice owner/staff, the cheap price, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the location, I'd go back. But it isn't for everyone.
