At least three members of the Islamic State group, Isis-K, and two civilians were killed in an “anti-terrorism” operation by the Taliban. The raids took place across the southern Afghan province of Kandahar on November 15, 2021. A branch of the Islamic State, Isis-K has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks since the Taliban returned to power in August. The two groups are long-time enemies due to ideological differences over Islamic rules.
