Why This Woman in Labor Walked to the Hospital

This woman seems way too calm considering her serious predicament. Kelsie Vanmeveren was on her way to the hospital when her car broke down, so she and her husband started walking. Why? Because they say an ambulance would have cost them $1000. So the two made their way on foot, a half mile to the hospital. As she was trekking, her water broke. Luckily, the newborn baby girl named Prairie was born healthy and without incident.
