New Epoxy Resin Pen Mold - No Sharp Edges!

This is a newly designed pen mold for resin. It is an improvement from the original flat mold. The new mold creates a cylindrical-shaped pen with rounded edges. The only downside or difference is that the flat mold allows for more detailed customization of embellishments and pigment dispersion.

Technique:
📍 Place a pen insert into the mold with the ink side facing inward

NOTE: The instructions with the product say to remove the red plastic from the pen insert, but I chose not to and did not encounter any issues

📍 Mix resin per manufactures instructions

📍 Add the desired pigment or embellishment to the resin and mix

📍 Pour pigmented resin into the mold in whatever order you like

📍 Squeeze the mold to ensure proper distribution of the resin and remove bubbles

📍 Continue adding the pigmented resin until the resin reaches the top rim of the mold

NOTE: You can spray the top of the resin (if there are bubbles that have risen up in the mold) with a little rubbing alcohol to disperse them. I do not recommend using a torch.

📍 Cure per manufacturers instructions

📍 Remove the pen from the mold

📍 Use scissors or nail clippers to cut off the excess pen sticking out of the top

📍 Lightly sand down any rough edges on the top
