The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to strategic projects relating to social activities undertaken by the companies, earlier voluntarily and now as a legal obligation. India is the first country in the world to make CSR a mandatory activity. Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 talks about CSR and its compliances which has to be read with CSR rules & regulations and schedule 7 of the Companies Act, 2013.
