WE MESSED UP | Putting up game cameras on our rural Idaho homestead | Millennial homesteaders

Welp… this was embarrassing. We wanted to put up game cameras on our remote Idaho property & we totally messed it up. We share the successes AND failures of this adventure on this channel so here you go!

We’re back after announcing our giveaway winner (if you didn't see that, check our or last video where we named the winner). And we’re out at our property in rural North Idaho setting up some run-of-the-mill game cameras! Our reasons for setting up cameras are pretty simple:
-check to see what kind of big game is crossing the property
-see if there are any predators
-give us a better idea as to what the property is like when we aren’t there

The cameras themselves were easy to set up - we just needed to securely attach them to trees. The camera brands we used were Bushnell and Primos. They were easy to set up, easy to use and they actually took great pictures! They are a must-have if you have a rural homestead to keep and eye on and protect! We don’t expect any trouble in our corner of Idaho, but we sleep better at night knowing we’ve got our property covered and we know what’s coming and going.

However… it turns out we messed up majorly and put the cameras too HIGH. 😅 So we had to take them off, and put them down lower… Lessons learned folks.

We told you from the beginning we were not experts - and that we would share with you the ups and downs of this process. Do we feel silly at times? Sure - but if this channel was nothing but successes you’d be bored!
