The Pinoy Dreamer in Toronto 🎉

There are people we met in life that we don't get to constantly communicate with but when the opportunity comes to reconnect and catch up with life, you just have to grab it! Of course, we are growing up and accompanying that are the responsibilities we face with regularly and the challenges we try to overcome. We have to grow individually and not giving constant communication doesn't mean we forget. It means we are taking the time to make our lives awesome so that when we reunite, it will be on a whole new level.

This video is an example of that. Ate Rain was my friend way back in college and I got close with their group, Agricultural Engineering Students, because of them is my dormmate-turned-roommate Ricky. We had a lot of memories in college days and though they were my senior, they never let me feel like there is a gap. We were all one big helluva group!

After college, I didn't see Ate Rain anymore. I only get several updates about her life in the Middle East once in a while through her social media account, as I am also busy trying to work out my own life. When she saw that I was in Niagara Falls, she was just thinking that it may be a throwback photo and that I have been flying here and there, so I may have had a quick visit to Toronto in the past. But she was puzzled so she tried calling me and bang! She got excited when she knew that I moved to Toronto a few weeks ago. And the rest was history.

We constantly communicate and I caught up with her life here in Canada and all. She then invited me to join her group in an out-of-town trip to a famous weekend destination in Lake Huron, the town of Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula National Park.

I accepted right away the invitation without second thoughts. I ,myself, am excited to see her again and go to this famous destinational as well. We started the trip with her coming from the town of St. Catharines and traveled for more than an hour to Toronto to pick me up. Together with her is her fiancé Daynan, a dear friend from Cebu - Ethel, and another friend in her circle from South Korea - Yoo Na (Not sure if I spelled it right! 🤣😅)

When they arrived at my street, we exchanged hugs as we cannot contain the excitement being together again. She introduced me to the gang and off we go to our destination! 🤩

I slept on the way to Hepworth, as I didn't have a sleep the night before because of excitement and anxiety, as I don't really want them to wait for me if I wake up late! After about two hours of traveling the express way, we had a stopover at Hepworth's Tim Horton and I got a hot chocolate and Black coffee that I will take later on.

We continued the trip and after an hour, we were welcomed by pine trees and evergreens. We entered the Bruce Peninsula National Park and started with our first destination, The Grotto. We took a right turn to the road leading to the National Park and we reached an entrance toll gate. We didn't have a reservation since we moved our original travel date from Sunday to Monday due to alarming weather conditions. We were not accepted as we have no reservations, so we left and went to the part of Bruce Peninsula in the town of Tobermory that accepts walk-in guests - The Singing Sands. We parked at the designated parking lot, paid the parking and entrance fees and off we go to the first stop.
