Why do we still question whether a woman can be a successful business leader or business owner?
The events of 2020 have turned the world of work upside down. Women in particular have been negatively impacted. Under the highly challenging circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, women’s participation in the workforce is at an all-time low.
Many women are also considering downsizing their careers or leaving the workforce, especially if they have childcare responsibilities.
However, the current crisis also represents an opportunity to nurture a culture in which women have greater and more equal opportunities to achieve their potential over the long term.
Through the Standard Bank KZN Top Business Women initiative a number of women will be given a platform to share their stories and insights.
