The Canadiens have decided not to match the offer sheet by the Hurricanes for Jesperi Kotkaniemi. As a result, the Habs will receive a first and third round pick from Carolina. Montreal then acquired centre Christian Dvorak from the Coyotes in exchange for a 2022 conditional first-round pick and a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
