Grand Haven Board of Light & Power: Proposed air permit informational session and public hearing

EGLE’s Air Quality Division held an informational session followed by a public hearing on September 22, 2021 beginning at 6 p.m. Grand Haven Light & Power is proposing to construct and operate a new natural gas-fired combined heat and power plant at 1231 North Third Street, Grand Haven, Michigan. The informational session provided details on what the company is requesting including what equipment may be installed, what levels of air emissions are being requested and how EGLE would ensure any air permit, if issued, would follow all rules and regulations for the requested process. The informational session was followed by a hearing to take official comments on the record.
