Cal Guard activates 18th Cavalry for Caldor Fire
LAKE TAHOE, CA, UNITED STATES
09.08.2021

Video package of the California Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 18th Cavalry Squadron, 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, activated Sept. 1, 2021 for the Caldor Fire in El Dorado and Amador counties, California. Nearly 200 troops will provide security and monitor traffic intersections in areas affected by the wildfire. The Caldor Fire started Aug. 14 and consumed nearly 280,000 acres so far.
