2021-09-27 Xiao Qi Ji ~ Slow & Steady

#PandaStory: The opening scene where Xiao Qi Ji and mother Mei Xiang are vying for treats at the keeper gate is from Sunday afternoon. Watching him stand on his back legs never gets old. Then around 10:30am this morning, Qi Ji comes out of his tree and finds Mei resting on the sideway, cuddling ensues. They move indoors where he had a nursing bout of undetermined length. Afterward he played with the red Kong toy before heading back outdoors.

Around noon we see him waddling up the hill to sit beside Mei and nibble on some treats (sugar cane?). Then, in a rather awkward moment occurs when Qi Ji appears to drop from the hammock support log onto a lower level log where he rested for a bit. Later we "bearly" see Mei and Qi Ji playing under a tree in the deep shade before they both headed off for the Panda House.
